London to Brighton Bike Ride!
Meet Barnabus Dearlove and one of Starfish's younger supporters!
Barnabus took part in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride this Summer
and raised money and exposure for Starfish.
We would like to thank him and his dedicated family for their

Cycle Challenge like no other!
Taking on the challenge that Kavan and Paris
completed recently should not be taken lightly. Read a full

Cake Sale!
Karen Webber and colleagues from Manchester have been having a
great time recently by baking and sharing the cakes with their
fellow workers. They have raised a
cool £200 for the children we
support. Great going ladies!
Oxford to Paris bike ride
Grant Webster and some
of his friends have recently taken on a huge challange - the
London to Paris bike ride. This is 400KMs of serious
cycling! Grant has managed to
raise £862.56 for Starfish! Grant is
a Starfish ambassador and a keen sportsman, taking on challenges
for the children of South Africa.
Gig for Starfish
One of our ambassadors Sylvia (in orange!) held the Starfish Gig at
the Putney Halfmoon on Wednesday 2nd Sept. She managed to
raise more than £700 for the children we support
and the night was full of great bands. Well done on your
first official fundraising event!
Juliet throws another smash of a party!
It doesnt seem that Juliet can put a foot wrong with her boat
parties, the 2009 event was another rip roaring success with £2000
raised for Starfish. Looking forward to seeing
what Juliet will pull out of the bag next year!
Andy Heath Manchester to Blackpool cycle ride
One of our dedicated ambassadors
recently took part in the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride. Andy
Heath decided to take part in this amazingly challenging event
which sees participants cycle for 62 miles! He finished it in one
piece and has raised an amazing £900!
Radar London to Cambridge cycle ride
One of
our ambassadors Deb Merrifield recently took her staff out and
about on a bike ride from London to Cambridge. The entire
journey is just over 50 miles and they had one of the
stongest winds of the year to contend with. You will be
pleased to hear that they all made the journey in
one piece and have managed to raise
over£1500 for Starfish!
Ambassadors and sports!
Several of our Ambassadors took part in sporting events around the
capital in the name of Starfish. From the British 10K to the
Royal Parks Half Marathon. We have raised
over £70,000 from our sports campaign in
2008.
