The Dinners of Hope have been held since 2002 with many corporate and private sponsors taking part, nationally as well as internationally. The concept is very simple and allows all participants to become actively involved in the campaign.
The Starfish Dinners of Hope annual events aim to:
· build awareness of the issue surrounding children orphaned or made vulnerable in communities ravaged by HIV/AIDS;
· raise funds for Starfish supported projects, which are positively impacting these communities; and
· voice the work of the Starfish Greathearts Foundation & extend our global network.
· create a simple platform for every individual across the globe to get involved and make a difference.
Each year Dinners of Hope continues to grow as more and more people all over the world sit down to dinner in the name of Starfish and spread the story.
This is your event. Host a dinner at home, book a restaurant, have a picnic or throw a party! Where and how you dine is completely up to you - invite two friends or two hundred and encourage each of your guests to make a contribution to Starfish. When you register your dinner, you will receive a Host Pack containing everything you need to get involved, including our DVD and information cards for your diners.
