Starfish Greathearts Foundation was founded by a group of young
friends in a London coffee shop in 2001. The charity has
rapidly grown on a global scale and is dedicated to supporting
children, who have been orphaned or made vulnerable through the
devastating effects of HIV/AIDS in southern Africa.
Here in the UK, the small office team and extensive network of
volunteers, ambassadors and supporters have established an active
Starfish community. Through a hectic events calendar and
leading corporate relationships,
Starfish is seeking to spread the word that, although this is a
pandemic of devastating proportions, each and every one of us can
actually make a very real difference. As a young and dynamic
organisation, the charity prides itself on putting the fun into
fundraising and anyone, anywhere can join in today!
In the last five years, thousands of people across the globe have
caught the Starfish vision, contributing to the community-based
care that we're providing for over 36,000 children in South
Africa.
In the United Kingdom, Starfish Greathearts Foundation is
registered as a charity with the Charity Commission (1093862) and
is a company limited by guarantee (4528018).
